The Autonomous capability transforms your DXA into a self-directed problem solver that independently navigates complex challenges without step-by-step guidance. This advanced mode enables your agent to formulate its own approach, determine necessary resources, and execute multi-stage solutions, similar to how a senior consultant would tackle an open-ended assignment. Ideal for sophisticated tasks requiring research depth, analytical thinking, and strategic decision-making.
This capability is best suited for scenarios where you need the agent to:
Break down complex problems without your guidance
Research and analyze information across multiple sources
Make independent decisions about the best approach to solving a problem
Execute multiple steps without constant human direction
Please note that Autonomous is currently offered as a beta feature. While powerful, it may occasionally make mistakes during task execution.
Try testing autonomous capability by assigning it a complex, multi-faceted task. The autonomous agent will execute one task at a time, following this process:
Depending on the complexity of the task, it may take up to 15 minutes for the agent to complete the task. During execution, the agent may ask for your further input to proceed, including:
Clarifying questions about ambiguous requirements
Requests for missing parameters or constraints
Additional context needed to make appropriate decisions
For example, consider a Financial Expert DXA created from a senior financial manager's CV. When operating in Autonomous mode, this agent can handle complex multi-dimensional business problem:
“You're advising a multinational corporation considering a strategic acquisition of a tech startup valued at $450 million. The corporation has operations in 12 countries, faces varying tax regimes, and needs to balance immediate growth with long-term financial stability. Could you analyze this opportunity by:
Developing a comprehensive valuation model for the startup, considering both traditional metrics and intangible assets
Proposing three distinct financing structures with their respective impacts on the balance sheet
Creating a post-acquisition financial integration roadmap, including potential synergies and risks
Designing a risk mitigation strategy addressing market volatility, regulatory concerns, and currency fluctuations
Explaining how this acquisition fits into optimal capital allocation strategy given the current macroeconomic environment”
The autonomous capability enables the agent to independently structure its approach, access relevant financial models and frameworks, consider multiple perspectives, and deliver a comprehensive analysis:
